Duncan Bureau has 20 years of experience working with and managing professionals in Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the United States. Duncan was with WestJet Airlines from 2002 to 2012 working in Revenue Management, Business Development, Sales, Cargo and WestJet Vacations.

Duncan joined WestJet in April 2002 as a revenue management analyst, and then moved into business development where he worked on the launch of WestJet’s first co-branded credit card and off-balance sheet loyalty program. He was then appointed Director of Sales and Business Development for WestJet where he was part of a team that started to build strategic relationships with Canada's travel trade. Duncan also had responsibility to build relationships with other airlines globally including the first relationships with American Airlines, British Airways, AF / KLM, China Airlines, JAL and others.

Over the last three years Duncan and his team successfully grew WestJet's indirect business with the Travel Trade and Corporate Canada.

Duncan has worked in Toronto, Calgary, London (England), Rome, Vancouver and New York and has gained experience in dealing with business leaders from around the globe. He has worked with Gulf Oil, Greyhound, Greyhound Air, Canadian Airlines, Nortel, The Loyalty Group, Welsh Carson Anderson and Stowe (a private equity firm in New York City) and WestJet.

Duncan was named one of the Top 25 Travel Executives in North America by BTN in Washington DC in 2008 - the only Canadian named to this list. Over the last few years Duncan has participated as a Board Member or Committee Member with the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC), the Canadian Tourism Commission - on the Americas Committee - and most recently with Discover America, as a Canada Board Member.

Duncan is a graduate of The University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Management in Accounting and Finance.

Over the last 16 years, as President and Founder of Optimax Benefits Earl has brought leading edge, industry innovation to Optimax Benefits. At the same time, Earl has retained the old fashioned concepts of ‘being accessible’ and ‘getting to know your customer’. Formerly a General Manager of a contracting company, Earl is now an Employee Benefits Specialist.

Earl has a very specific philosophy about doing business, he believes in working closely with his clients, observing their business and learning about the challenges of his clients first-hand.

Since 2005, Earl has been an Instructor at the University of Grant MacEwan in the School of Business specializing in instructing students about group benefits.

Earl has a long standing record of active involvement in different organizations holding different committee positions such as an Ambassador of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce for 7 years, Board Member at South Edmonton Business Association, West Edmonton Business Association, Edmonton Council of Technology and most recently Earl was involved as a committee member for the fundraising event,’ Drive for Shelter’ which raised over $110,000 for Jasper Place Health and Wellness.
